dave I's back!!!!.......a belated happy australia day to one and all, hope you had a good one,...we had a ball, visited mount gambier, robe, beach port, southend and port macdonald....the blue lake was the best I've seen, beautiful,..a bit blowy all the time we were there but it beat the 40 plus temps we were having here

Guess you will just have to do the trip all over again... Just tell the missus you we only doing a reccee the last time.

Mystic Last week we saw temps rise to 35C+, today we have snow down to 1000m.... gotta love Tasmania :-)

Nah Dave, living life to the max, rofl, truth is I'm flaming overworked, underpaid, still have a few building jobs to get finished up around home, spent today carting hay for my son in law. Bit over a thousand small bales. Worst part, it's all self inflicted pain. I think I'm just gonna sleep for the next couple of days......

well I guess that's good news, .....I remember the hay carting,....not much fun!...but I also remember the stukes and the chaff cutter...even less fun!

dave clean up underway from friday's storm,.....wind in excess of 100 KPH,...tv antennae's down, tree's ripped out of the ground,....power lost for 24 hour's.......estimated 30mm of rain fell in under 2 hour's.....constant lightning striking the ground as well as sheet lightning constantly overhead, absolutely awesome spectacle......looked like the end of the world

damn council came in yesterday while I was at work and totally cleaned up the fallen tree, the one I planted 25 years ago,.....I wanted it left as habitat, not only did they take the tree but also a couple of shrubs and a few new trees that had two years growth on them that I planted......I'm in the process of getting the council to replace them, I will still look after them

Wow Dave, that beats the storm we had here a week or so ago... kept me up all night watching the lightning display/show!

luckily this happened during mostly daylight hours, started about 11 am with small gusts of wind and sheet lightning then it all passed,.....warnings came on the radio and telly about huge winds and possible flooding with probable hail, secure all items.....the usual stuff and I thought to myself bit late, it's already been, sky cleared and all was well until about 2pm then the sky grew dark and ominous, then sheet lightning everywhere, dogs raced inside and hid under the bed shaking like...
dave everybody prepared for chrissy!..........start of the silly season tonight with the first of many "breakup's", son's tonight then wires a bit later then work as well as friends all gathering,......heading down to stockport for a large family/friends gathering, about 50 people expected, not my cup of tea,......too many, they tend to form their own little "groups" and not mix too much, much rather smaller groups of around 10 - 12, around one large table,...never mind...

dave kitchen display cabinet duly finished and sent to it's new home.....new owners "over the moon"........should be the last construction of the year!
